Salary: £20,217 - £23,376 (pro rata) (AAT Inner London Scale 15-21)

The role of the Finance Assistant will be vital in maintaining the College’s financial health and ensuring the efficient, effective organisation and administration of the College’s financial procedures and systems. The post holder will be guided by the Aspirations Academies Trust finance team under operate under direction of the Operations Director. As part of a growing College the role the post holder will be required to support the exams area.
The post holder will be expected to exhibit a high degree of professionalism and to respect confidentiality in all matters relating to the College.
Key Role and Responsibilities
The post holder will support the monitoring of college financial records providing key data when necessary, working closely with the Operations Director to ensure a smooth running of the finance area. When necessary providing prompt reports, preparing forecasts and providing information on the College’s finance. The post holder will ensure that finance processes are adhered to and where necessary suggest and implement improvements under guidance of the Operations Director. Support in all aspects of finance from managing cash flow, VAT and invoicing to dealing with purchase orders, maintain petty cash and monthly reconciliation. A key area of responsibility will be ensuring student bursaries are paid promptly and is expected to comply with College policies and procedures.
