We require an enthusiastic and experienced ICT Technician who will be supported by our IT managed service provider in providing a range of IT services within a college environment, working with the Director of Operations to fully support the college.
Key Role and Responsibilities
We are looking to appoint an ICT Technician to provide day-to-day management of ICT systems within the College. Duties will cover maintaining the College's network including back-ups, anti-virus, licence management and file maintenance; ensuring an effective and secure network and that staff and students have appropriate access; installing hardware and software for teaching and learning and administrative purposes; and maintaining inventories, licences and documents in accordance with policies; assist the Service Desk with the delivery of ICT managed support services, resolve service calls as directed by the Service Desk; provide school-based users with technical assistance and report service issues in accordance with the Service Desk policies; assist with project work as directed by the Technical Operations department.
An ideal ICT Support Technician will hold the following skills and experiences: knowledge of Windows Operating systems; Microsoft Office packages; active directory; software and hardware troubleshooting; general PC hardware maintenance; high quality ICT skills; be a flexible, well-organised person with the ability to adapt, prioritise and set personal targets; have the ability to work well as part of a team and a commitment to contributing towards the aims of the College.
