A Level results success
Tech City students achieve 100% success...
Students celebrated their A Level results today at Tech City College, with over 83% achieving a grade A* to C. Students have been accepted for places at Russell Group universities, where there are some notable individual successes, who will now take up offers at their universities of choice. These include:
Junaid studying Computer Science at City University
Donandra Holnes studying Chemistry at UCL, London.
Francesco Scopa studying Maths at Bath University
Agboola Oquneleye studying Civil Engineering at the University of Edinburgh
Top student, Rahul Jhuree, has accepted his place at Bath University to study Integrated Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. His exceptional results of two A-stars and two grade A’s in Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths demonstrates the commitment from staff and the dedication they have given in achieving student success. Rahul said:
“It hasn’t quite hit me yet, I feel calm, but I don’t think I would have done so well if it was not for the environment like this at Tech City.”
Donandra Holnes, achieved two A* and one grade A, she will go onto study Chemistry at UCL, London. She said:
“I feel happy. The opportunities like ‘Generating Genius,’ (Employability project) that was presented me by the College really helped!”
After challenging times, the College has managed to succeed in helping its students’ progress and achieve astounding results. A level and BTEC courses in Further Maths; English Literature and IT have seen 100% success rates, with all students achieving Grade A* to C or D* to M; with 95% for Economics; 92% Biology; 91% for Science and 90% Design Technology.

Many of our students are the first in their families to go to university and it is great to see how their great results have opened doors for their futures. The results today are testament to the hard work and commitment of our students coupled with the ambition and encouragement of our staff. We are a close-knit community here at Tech City College and we celebrate each other’s success and everyone here is inspired by students’ achievement. The results today have seen a significant increase on previous years and are a sign of how far the College has moved forward this year. She went on to say “I would like to thank the entire team of teaching staff and support staff at the College for their tremendous dedication and determination which has led to improved results for our students. We wish every student the very best for their next steps and keen to .know about their future successes. It is incredibly rewarding and an honour to be part of such a successful journey.”
